Scott Nokleby, PhD, PEng

I am a Professor with the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT), in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. I am the founding Director of the Mechatronic and Robotic Systems Laboratory which I established in 2005 at UOIT.

My research areas include: Robotics; Mechatronics; Mechanisms; Automation; Advanced Kinematics of Robots and Mechanisms; Redundant Manipulator Systems; Mobile Robots; Mobile-Manipulator Systems; Autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicles; Mechanism and Robot Design; and Optimal Design. In particular, my research focuses on the application of advanced kinematics for the control of redundant manipulator systems including joint redundant arms, redundantly-actuated parallel manipulators, and mobile-manipulator systems.
